Support page editing through MovableType API

The new WP API extensions in xmlrpc.php allow robust access to the pages in WP. This seems like a good idea.

I'm wondering if there was any consideration of allowing traditional MT API access to the pages, in a manner similar to Drupal's, where the "blog ID" is overloaded with an asset type (e.g. "page") to allow pages to be fetched and edited via the traditional API.

This could be a nice convenience layer on top of the existing WP extensions, though I can understand if it feels too dirty or restrictive of future legitimate use of the blog ID.

Mostly this ticket is here to invite some permanent commentary for the record.

I think one of the problems you'd run into is that the other page data that you get from wp.getPage is really helpful to have. I'm specifically thinking of parent page information and page order.

With the page API out for awhile now, it doesn't seem worth while to do this and redsweater agreed. Closing this ticket as wontfix.
