the tag read more is not working

I have wordpress on a Hebrew language and when I try to add read more tag on post it's not show up in the frontend

Hi @yohanankap. Just to make sure is your theme using the_content or the_excerpt function where you list your post? Read more tag works only if you're using the_content function.

In Twenty Seventeen there is the_content function so it should work. If you have more questions, can you open new topic in support forum. That's a better place to solve this.

Hi @yohanankap, thanks for the report.

The "read more" tag seems to work properly here in Twenty Seventeen too. Is the problem that it is not added at all, can you actually see it in the post content (in the Text editor)? If yes, it is probably a plugin problem, best to ask in the support forum as recommended by @sami.keijonen.
