Description (last modified by )
I am running the 2012 theme on 4.8. with a few basic plugins.
I am also experiencing the problem described in this closed ticket: #37889
In testing I disabled all plugins, and when I try to "Add new" under pages, I get a fresh empty page, and on the right it confirms the status is "draft" with "0" revisions and a "Publish" button for my finished work.
I give the new page a test title and some fake content and "Publish" it. Immediately the "Publish Info" box shows 20 revisions and a publish date of a week earlier. I am now editing my previous post/page.
Just trying to publish the new page overwrites the content fields in my previous page so the whole article is lost unless I restore from the revisions list at the bottom of the new page I just created.
Regardless of which page I try to edit, the last page gets overwritten.
I have a stock standard .htaccess file.

Have you tried the suggestion from comment:12:ticket:37889?

Hi, @SergeyBiryukov. I'm trying the two suggestions, but can't resolve the issue. It's possibly a bit "bug" in the last WordPress version cause this? Maybe a residual code of discontinued functions of The last update don't present problems.

Whit last resource, I deactivate all caché and other personal config, but the issue continued.
A clarification:
I updated wordpress to 4.8 this morning. I was able to create the first page just fine, but when I tried a few hours later to add another page, that content overwrote the first page I created that day.
I haven't tested posts.
