Description

In the latest version 4.8.2 there is a serious bug. When a menu with drop down submenus is created, WP add </div> tags between menu items garbaging the whole menu. See the top menu of http://www.lalamanera.it as an example, and inspect menu on top.

Hi @dejudicibus, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the report.

  1. Does the issue still happen with all plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty Seventeen) activated?
  2. Is it new in 4.8.2? I don't see anything in the changelog that would cause this.

  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

I found the problem. It was related to a filter in the theme. It was because of a change to

<ul class="sub-menu">

that did not occurred anymore because in new version the tag is

<ul  class="sub-menu">

(two spaces after ul)
