Description

Hi,
I have applied to the Facebook Instant Articles. After some days, application was disapproved because some elements on the webpage were missed and Facebook wasn't able to read them. For eg. Everything on webpage was visible except the results brought by shortcodes. That's clear proof that Shortcodes aren't yet identified by Facebook and they aren't willing to do so.
To make WordPress.. an Instarticles Friendly CMS, we need to bring a technology which can make the browser understand the shortcode and interpret it as decrypted HTML. Well, awesome developers know much well about how to cope with this problem.
Please find a fix for this issue because many Shortcode Lovers are waiting for Facebook Instant Articles feature to properly work in WordPress.

Warm Regards,
Kumar Abhirup

Hey there,

Whatever plugin you are using to bring Facebook Instant Articles support to WordPress, this plugin is responsible for calling do_shortcode() to parse shortcodes. You should ask the plugin developer(s).

And if shortcode prints some HTML that Facebook doesn't support, I suppose you can't use that shortcode in Instant Articles. There's nothing WordPress can do about that.
