Deleted plugin still exists?

Description

Once, I had a plugin:
https://wordpress.org/plugins/another-simple-xml-sitemap/

Several months ago, I've deleted that from SVN.
however, it still shown in WP plugins directory (and even comes in "my plugins" list). (try to download it - you get error).

Should I believe what is written there - Is that enough to just send an email?

Someone might send crafted email (set "FROM" address to the real author's email address).

that could be a theoretically serious problem, right?

@tazotodua Yes, you should believe that an email is enough. And of course the plugin team would not simply delete a plugin right away and reach out to the author first.

For the record, sending an email is to start the conversation, the plugins team won't simply close the plugin, they'll explain the consequences of it and verify it's what's intended by the author. That requires a response from the registered email address.
In this case, the registered plugin author is posting, and the SVN shows that was the obvious intent, and in the event an error was ever made, nothing is irreversible either.
