Since Wordpress 4.9 OptimizePress2 stopped working

Description
After updating to WordPress 4.9 OptimizePress2 (OP2) is no longer working. In detail:
- the Live-Editor is infinitely loading, when attempting to edit an existing page
- the OptimizePress2 dashboard does not display any settings
(maybe there are some more issues)
I'm using OP2 for several years and had never compatibilty-problems with WordPress-Updates. However I've tried to use WordPress 4.9 on 2 domains with OP2 and found the described issues. So I needed to revert to WordPress 4.8 for now (thanks for the recommended backup).

Hi @lexlechz and welcome to Trac.
Trac is for reporting bugs in WodPress core, unfortunately as this only happens with a specific plugin it'll need to be reported to the plugin author directly. I'm going to mark this ticket as invalid for that reason.
In the event that after reporting the issue to the plugin author, they find a bug in WordPress 4.9 which caused it, it can be reported here (either on this ticket, or as a new one).
While this may be caused by WP4.9 (somehow) I still think best place to ask is
