Description
Here are the links leading to the different versions:
es_ES => https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/es
es_CR => https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/es-cr
Both of them have the name "Español", so when selecting the language from the WordPress dashboard, you could select the wrong one without realizing.

- Component changed from General to I18N
- Focuses administration added
- Milestone changed from Awaiting Review to WordPress.org
Looks like this has been fixed in GlotPress (The data-source of the WordPress.org API):
https://github.com/GlotPress/GlotPress-WP/commit/ec284f4546163afb6de11d8165c45d4ed6625ae4#diff-c502dfc63137729614aa3f7077d46bea
The native name for es_CR has been updated from Español to Español de Costa Rica.
I'm going to leave this ticket open until we update GlotPress locales on WordPress.org since it affects core.
two languages both named "Espanol"
