Description

If I search with Author option selected in plugin repository (/wp-admin/plugin-install.php), no plugin is found unless the author name is present in the Plugin name or may be somewhere in the description.

Example:

I searched with Takayuki Miyoshi as a Keyword and got a handful of result, but when I selected Author, it returned no result.

  • Version trunk deleted

This is a known issue, as the Author search is based on the username. Searching for takayukister instead of Takayuki Miyoshi returns the expected results. Certainly not user-friendly though and should be addressed in #meta3338. Not a new issue introduced in trunk though.

This ticket was mentioned in Slack in #meta by afercia. View the logs.

  • Keywords close added

I think this should be closed, as it's not an issue in core.
