I find that the search bar will also include and display any pages marked are private.

Hello and welcome to Track, @ajtruckle

Showing pages marked "private" is expected for all (logged in) users with the read_private_pages capability (Editor, Administrator) both on front and in admin. Others, including visitors, will not see them.

Ah, that makes sense. I was logged in the dashboard at the time. Thanks for the explanation.
