Quicktags return cursor to top of textarea in longer posts

Description

When typing a post that requires scrolling down in the textarea, using a quicktag returns the textarea to the top of the post. The user then must scroll back down to where the quicktag was inserted. The quicktag still works, but it's very annoying to do this every time a quicktag is used, as they're available for convenience.

This was fixed in CVS back in September: ​http://wordpress.org/pipermail/cvs_wordpress.org/2004-September/000353.html
(fix is easily implemented for those w/ WP v1.2)
