Description

Hello suppport,

When we edit page and post editor then i go to text tab and add any custom field like <br>
<p> then again i go to the visual to see the changes and again want to edit text tab then what i see that i can't find the added fields.
What can i do resolve the issue to save the previous changes.

This Trac is used for enhancements and bug reporting for the WordPress core software. For individual support questions, please try the ​support forums.

As you've already found out, the Text editor is not a "real" HTML editor in the traditional sense, that's why it was renamed to "Text" in #20993 (follow-up: #38061).

If you need to preserve raw HTML tags, a plugin like ​Raw HTML might be helpful.
