Description

Twenty Sixteen will include preconnect headers for Google Fonts per #44668 and committed to trunk in [43606] and backported to 4.9 in [43607].

Twenty Sixteen is the only affected theme as it was missed when the tags were added to the other default themes.

Version numbers updated in 44882.diff​, the codex link will need to be added once it has been created.
