Description
Hi Team,
WooCommerce Meetups have become an integral part of the local WordPress/WooCommerce community and once a local one is planned, people in the community should know that it is taking place. This will also display the WooCommerce Meetups (worldwide) in the dashboard widgets (localized) and reach more people in the community. It would be great if we could add these Meetups (from meetup.com) to the admin dashboard.
Best regards, Ulf

Hello @knutsp and thank you for your fast reply,
Yes, a friend of mine has already pointed out to me that it would be the responsibility of WooCommerce (plugin) to add it. But I did not know where exactly I should open the ticket.
Correct would be, if the plugin is activated, that an additional filter for the feed is deposited and in the Dashboard Community widget the Woo-Meetups become visible. Do I have to open a new ticket at Meta Trac now?

I don't think there's no need for a meta ticket.
Since WooCommerce is a separate plugin that is not part of the WordPress.org open source project, we shouldn't treat it different than any other WordPress plugin in the repository.
First and foremost, I would report this directly to WooCommerce. They are the ones organizing WooCommerce meetups and they are the ones who could manually filter the list of events to add their meetups.
WooCommerce have an ideas page at http://ideas.woocommerce.com and the code is being developed at https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce. There's even more options for support though.
If there's no suitable filter for WooCommerce to modify the list of events, one can always open a ticket here on Trac to request such a filter being added.
Hello @uschoene and welcome to Trac.
Since WooCommerce is a plugin it should be their responsibility to add these, IMHO. Without checking this, I presume there is a filer for adding this to the feed.
But all for adding these to the wordpress.org API, as an option. That is a ticket for the Meta Trac, I think.
