When Parent Page is Trashed Child Page's Permalinks appear with an underscore trashed

Steps to reproduce

  1. Add a parent page and a child page

  1. See child page has right permalink on backend

  1. Delete parent page

  1. Visit child page on backend and see it has a different permalink with an underscore trashed

Hello,

5.0.3 is going to be released in a couple of weeks.

It doesn't appear this ticket can be handled in the next couple of weeks (needs patch). Let's address it in 5.1 which is coming in February. Feel free to ask for changing the milestone if you think this issue can be quickly resolved.

This is a fairly complex problem to fix, there have been some attempts on #11235, but nothing we're confident releasing to date.
