Description
I have installed an updated WordPress. When I create a new Page, I cannot add it to an existing menu because it is created as a new post versus a new page.

I'm not able to reproduce this issue. New pages are automatically added to my main menu. I'm able to modify the menu to add or remove pages and posts.
When I create a new Page, I cannot add it to an existing menu because it is created as a new post versus a new page.
I'm also not able to reproduce that a new Page is saved as a new Post.
Thinking the issue is from a plugin, non-default theme, etc., i.e. rather than in a Core issue.
Given it's not reproducible and no follow-up since first reported, will assume it's been resolved. Closing the ticket as worksforme

Hello @LadySylvia, Does this problem still happen today for you?
- If no, yippee!
- If yes, please try it with all plugins deactivated and a default theme. If it still persists, then please reopen this ticket, provide step-by-step instructions on how to reproduce and/or a video to show it in action, and any information that could help contributors diagnose it. Thank you.
Hi @LadySylvia, welcome to WordPres Trac! Thanks for the report.
Does the issue still happen with all plugins disabled and a default theme (Twenty Nineteen) activated?
Could you provide the steps to reproduce the issue on a clean install?
