New Block based layout on WP 5.0+ SUPER SLOW

Hi there, there has been a lot of discussion about this on different FB groups... I feel like this is one WP core update that was NOT necessary. I feel like there's limitation on what WP core can provide even with block based layout designer compare to more comprehensive themes... and WP trying to provide that makes it only half as useful I believe.. and makes it more like WIX... where things are more confusing and more clicks needed to do a simple job. Worst part? All WP CORE update made the website FASTER... until WP 5.0... Guttenburg made site slower.. especially if you're working on any page or post because of the layout blocks.
I believe there are two main groups of WP users. Developers and Customers. Developers do not want block based since it doesn't go far enough and we have to use different theme that supports more advanced block/layout anyway... and it just slow things down.
Customers told me that they miss simple format of being able to edit text on blog & pages.. Typically they don't even want to touch anything with block and layout to not make mistake... and just want to go in and do quick update and be done with it.
So new update is catering only to small segment of people who are in process of learning.. who will eventually agree with developer and stop using block based layout on core and move on to different theme...

I appreciate the thoughts that you have taken the time to lay out here. However, this is not the appropriate forum for this type of feedback. This Trac instance is for the development of the WordPress software.
It seems that you are experiencing very poor performance while using the new block editor. The team has continued to improve the code in each release since version 5.0. This includes several performance updates.
Since this ticket does not detail any specific problems in the new block editor, I am going to close it out. If you are still experiencing performance issues with the latest version of WordPress, please make a post in the WordPress.org support forums for further investigation.
