Description
The hyperlink that comes on the Settings Permalink screen, for making your .htaccess file writable the word writable: links to https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_File_Permissions
Which I think isn’t one of the best possible resources, the page actually then redirects the user effectively to https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-file-permissions/#htaccess-permissions
Why not directly link to the support article instead of the codex?
If rewriting the whole things on codex is the better way to go; please suggest.

On that note can we make the instructions OS inclusive?
the CTRL + a
is for Windows/Linux based OS keyboard layouts. Mac os would be Command + a
(using command instead of ⌘
for accessibility)

Hmm. Now that the new HelpHub is getting up to speed, it would probably be good to grep for all links to codex in core? Or is that too big scope?

Thanks for the suggestion! There's already another ticket for that: #24795, so let's just change the URL here.
