Drafts not saving revisions

Description

Revisions are supposed to work on drafts but is not working.
Just lost an original post this morning because of this and no way to get it back.
Working on posts but not drafts.

It works on some drafts but not others. Tried making several changes to one affected post, even been published now and no revisions are showing.

Hello @mitchellk,

Thanks for reporting this.

I've tried to reproduce the issue on a fresh 5.2.2 install with the default theme and no active plugin.
Tried on many drafts but all of their revisions work as expected.

Can you try to do the same and let me know if you still have the issue?

Maybe there is a plugin that's interfering with the revisions.

I'm also unable to reproduce this problem in WP 6.8.1. I'm proposing we close the ticket due to lack of reports and inability to reproduce. Feel free to reopen if you're still experiencing this issue. A set of instructions to reproduce the error would be helpful.
