Hello,
I have just upgraded to the latest version of WP (5,2) and I am unable to customize my uploaded theme as a consequence - Hyperx is the theme. This is most frustrating as I am keen to get my site up and running - customized (upload of my logo etc) asap. Please can You tell me what the issue is?

This is where we report and keep track of the fixing of bugs and issues within WordPress core itself.
In this case, it looks as if your theme may need to be updated, though. Just like WordPress needs to keep itself up to date with changes in the programming language PHP and various security issues, themes need to be maintained.
General troubleshooting and support is NOT the purpose of this Trac instance, so I'm going to close your ticket. A better place for that would be https://wordpress.org/support/
However: since you're using a commercial theme, you should rather reach out to the support channels for your theme instead.
If you later find out that you, indeed, have found a bug in WordPress core, then you can re-open this ticket and add a comment with specific steps on how to make that bug show itself, using just WordPress core and one of the standard themes, like Twenty Nineteen, for instance.
