Description

Hi again,

I've been tinkering around with the Twenty Twenty theme some more.

One thing I noticed was that each post displays their full text instead of their summary even when selecting to display the summary only is enabled in settings > reading.

I've tried deleting my cache and refreshing the page but the full text for each post is still showing instead of the summary.

Is there something else I should be doing to get the theme to display the summary only?

Thanks for your help.

Had to enable this in the customizer to get the posts to display the summary only.

Hey all,

So I figured it out (see image).

I had to go into the customizer and enable the posts to show the summary there as well.

The latest posts page now shows the posts with their summary instead of their full text :)

Hi there, welcome to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the ticket.

Yes, the option in Reading Settings only applies to RSS feeds, not to archive pages. This was previously discussed in #22049, #39519, #45752, and some other tickets.

The Customizer setting on the screenshot is the correct place to change the appearance of archive pages.
