Blog posts fail to filter by category

Description

Using the blog post block on a page of the site, the block fails to filter the posts by category. Although the initial set of posts is correct, clicking “Load more posts” yields posts of all categories, not only the one called for by the filter.

Is the blog post block added by a plugin, or did I somehow miss it in the core blocks collection?

If it is from a plugin, it's probably better to ask for help with this in the plugin's support forum (first).
