Description

Hi, See the response from my hosting provider below. Posts are not publishing remaining as scheduled. This is an urgent issue. Sorry, I'm not a developer, just a frustrated user so can't tell you what's going on behind the scenes to cause this.

Good morning,

Thank you for your enquiry, and for your patience.

We have been investigating this and can confirm that there is an issue regarding publishing new content in installations of WordPress that are using version 5.3 and above.

This appears to have been caused by a recent update to the time/date code in the WordPress core files that has caused an issue with the recent change to British Summer Time.

This is not a fault with the servers or hosting platform that you are using, and is something that WordPress appear to be aware of. We are currently unaware of any fix or resolution that WordPress may be reviewing or publishing and advise that you browse the support forums to see if there are any recent announcements:

https://wordpress.org/support/forums/

We have been testing a possible workaround that you may wish to try if you feel it is necessary:

You can install a plugin from the WordPress repository that is called WP Downgrader and follow the instructions to reinstall WordPress 5.2.5 - this is the last known version of WordPress without the recent time code updates present that we know of.

This is a decision that we will leave up to you, as we cannot speak for any negative effects this may have on plugin or theme compatibility, and we thoroughly recommend ensuring that you have a backup of all site and database content before you attempt to modify your WordPress installation.

If you have any further problems or queries then please update this enquiry through the "Technical Support" section of your Control Panel, and we will be happy to help.
Please rate our responses so that we may improve our service. Visit https://www.names.co.uk/support-feedback?supportref=3L12934185 to let us know how we've done.

Kind Regards,

Hi @neilhillyard and welcome to WordPress Core Trac.
This is where we register and follow up on (more or less) confirmed issues with the WordPress code itself. This is NOT the place for troubleshooting of someone's specific problems with their website.

I suggest that you step over to the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/ and create a new topic.

I'll mark this ticket as invalid for now. If you later reach the conclusion that you, indeed, have found a bug in WordPress, then you can reopen this ticket and add more details about how to reproduce the error.
