#4978 closed enhancement (fixed)

get_wp_nonce_field() that returns the fields

As of 2.3 there's no way to get the nonce fields returned (and not echoed) except than output buffer them.

Here is a proposal for a new function get_wp_nonce_field() (that doesn't change, of course, the way wp_nonce_field() has worked till now)

A silly question perhaps, but since the ticket hasn't seen much activity it may be worth asking. What need do you have for this proposed function?

  • Milestone changed from 2.6 to 2.5
  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

This has already been fixes of sorts.

We have an $echo option on all the nonce functions now instead of adding extra code.
