Hi, There is a Bug with this new version.
Where is bug: Multisite

Testing on localhost Using WampServer Version 3.1.7 64bit Which comes with His Apache version 2.4.37 and PHP 7.2.14

Please Follow steps so can test it personnaly

  1. Install Fresh WordPress and activate Multisite. - Works well
  2. Create Subsite (multisites) - Works Well

Now, try to access Dashboard of new subsite , bang, it wont open

Did i configure well? Yes. and recheck.

Now, use WP 5.4, using same way of installation, Works ALL FINE. with Same WAMP server, using same installation method so on.

After installing 5.4, updating to 5.4.1 WORKS WELL.

After doing this tests many time i conclude that there is some problem on latest version 5.4.1

I hope others get some conclusion

Hello and welcome to Trac. Thanks for the ticket!

The "bang, it wont open" thing: What kind of error was that, what URL, network error, hung, WSOD, http status (not found), certificate error, http or https?

Did front page open?

It would be great if you could provide this information, when and if you have the time to check again.

  • Keywords reporter-feedback added
  • Summary changed from wordpress-5.4.1 Bug to Dashboard of new subsite won't open

Hi there, thanks for the ticket!

Is that a subdomain or subdirectory install?

Here's the full list of changes in WordPress 5.4.1:
https://core.trac.wordpress.org/log/branches/5.4?rev=47702&stop_rev=47543

So far, I don't see anything that might cause the dashboard of an individual site to not open.
