I recently saw a suggestion on the WordPress.org forum that if people wish to request a social icon for the Twenty Twenty theme, they can do that here. I am hoping to get an icon for Mixcloud.com added to the Twenty Twenty theme (https://icons8.com/icon/YxP0JuEeHn-G/mixcloud) so that it can be part of the social links menu. This would be especially helpful for DJs who are currently attempting to use this theme to create a website to promote their livestreams during the quarantine (and beyond). I am going to close this out as
wontfix. There are requests for new icons very regularly now. If support for all of them were to be added in the theme, it would become unwieldy.For that reason, #48713 has been prioritized for the next release of Twenty Twenty. That ticket aims to add the necessary filters to allow plugin and theme developers to add icon support for any service or website they choose.
Please head on over to that ticket to follow along and keep your eyes open for documentation to be published once that is released.
