6	6	Yes, that seems the best solution here. Perhaps can also try to set this to disabled by default on touch screen devices to fix that super annoying long standing bug where the user would try to scroll but will move a metabox instead.

8		To help make the screen options more discoverable a notice can be shown the first time metaboxes are arranged. That would tell the user to use the screen options to customize the appearance of the Dashboard. Also, perhaps, it's time to make the Screen Options button a bit more prominent and add ~~the cogwheel~~ icon there?
