Public query var "page" is being stripped from the url after wordpress 5.5 update. Confirmed on two installations.

Description
Public query var "page" is being stripped from the url after wordpress 5.5 update. Confirmed on two installations.
After check the WP object if appears the query var is still in the matched results but the number only has been removed. For example:
test.com/outdoor-patio/2 matches pagename="outdoor-patio"page= with the number removed.
