WordPress 5.5 not compatible with the Artisteer themes

Description
There is a lot of sites designed with Artisteer. The Artisteer generated themes do no longer display comments after updating WordPress to 5.5 (or 5.5.1). Artisteer is deprecated and the themes will not be updated. A change must have been done in WordPress causing this problem. Can this be redone?
