Hi @gizmo2501 and thanks for the report!

Pasting headings from Word 2010 works for me in Windows Chrome, Firefox and Edge. Internet Explorer 11 does not work, but I get all the pasted content in the one paragraph block (not multiple paragraphs).

Could you either start a bug report on GitHub (or else share these details here so I can open one there)?

  1. Which browser(s)/operating system do you use?
  2. From which external program(s) are you copying the content?
  3. Could you add any other specific steps to reproduce the error you see?

  • Ticket #51215 – Description

    v1 v2
1 In previous versions of WordPress, if you wrote a post outside of WordPress and then imported it, the import process would respect any Headings you made - so if you set H2, H3, H4, etc, in OneNote or Word, when you imported it, the Headings values you set would transfer to the Wordpress post.

33Now, in 5.5, this no longer happens. If you paste in text, all the Headings come in as Paragraphs. This is incredibly annoying and it is very time-consuming to go back and change them, constantly referring to your written document to see what the Headings values should be.
