Description
Insert an external link. Toggle the following on: "Open in New Tab", "Search Engines should ignore this link (mark as nofollow)", and "This is a sponsored link or advert (mark as sponsored)." Update the post, refresh the page. Only "Open in a new tab" is still toggled on. The other two are toggled off. Inspect the live URL, and "sponsored" and "nofollow" is still correctly added to the link. User thinks that "nofollow" and "sponsored" are no longer added to the link (even though they are still appearing on the live html).

Hi @studiolmh,
The functionality you are referring to (the nofollow and sponsored functionality) is not part of WordPress core. You are most likely using an SEO plugin like Yoast SEO that brings this.
We are aware of this visual bug you are describing and this is currently on our radar (speaking for Yoast Support here) and will be investigated. Thank you!
