I have tried to log in to my site via the admin. However, when I enter my email address thecatspyjamasinc@… you indicate I do not have the correct password! So be it. What an inconvenience not being able to email support or get a simple reset on my password when I know my website exists! Total joke! I have not been able to work on my site any further.

That being said, I have all the proof this website belongs to me. Beginning with the host I have my website registered to. That would be SiteGround. I have included the actual website set up using wordpress. And I have also included the email I received from wordpress back on September 30, 2020.

Now for some reason, I am not able to log in to or request a password. WHY?????

Are you going to send me a new link for my password or is this going to continue to be a nuisance when trying to log in?

Thank you.

Hey @pinstripeonlinemarketing, WordPress is free open source software developed by a community. While we do try to support WordPress users as best we can, we don't have any control over or access to your site (even though yes, it looks to be using our software). The best thing to do would be to reach out to your host, SiteGround, for support.

I'm going to close this ticket because it isn't a bug that we can address in the WordPress software.

@pinstripeonlinemarketing For further assistance in using the software, you should post on the Support Forums located here:

However, for lost password issues, they're likely to simply redirect you to this page:

That page has 7 different ways to reset a password, depending on the access you have to your site. You only need one of them to work.

Additionally, the WordPress software is not a "service" like Facebook or Google. Because you are using the WordPress software on your own hosting, your username and password are not shared with anybody else. This also means that nobody else can fix it except you or your hosting service. WordPress is free software, made available for anybody's use. The developers and creators of this software do not manage nor have any control over your site, or any other sites running the free WordPress software. So, emailing somebody to get a password reset for you is not possible, you will need to do it yourself or have your hosting service assist you with that process.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
