Description
I have been receiving and email every single day for weeks now notifying me that a plugin has updated. It claims that no action is needed by me but every notification is about the same plugin and version. Every email I receive is identical. I feel this may be a bug in the system.

It would be very helpful to have a bit more information.
Which plugin?

What version of WordPress is installed?
This is the plugin info from the email.

Gravity Forms is a premium plugin that is not hosted on dot org. It is providing its own updates. You should really file a support request with them.

I understand the email is coming from WordPress. What I'm trying to say is that perhaps Gravity Forms is updating incorrectly to an older release so that it will continue to be in an update cycle.
If you turn off Auto-updates for Gravity Forms until this is resolved, on their end, you won't see these emails. Updating from the update-core.php
page manually might also provide more information about where the update is being pulled from. All this will help in your ticket with Gravity Forms.
