New blog on multisite: URL is set to http, when primary site uses https

I use a subdomain install like ​https://primary.tld and all blogs should have something like ​https://site.primary.tld but they get ​http://site.primary.tld upon creating new blogs. The main site has https on, therefore I expect new subsites to have it aswell.

There is a support ticket with a hacky solution. ​https://wordpress.org/support/topic/set-default-siteurl-to-https-in-multisite/

Hi there, welcome back to WordPress Trac! Thanks for the report.

This has already been discussed in #27499. I don't think anything has really changed from that decision.

There is room for a filter to more easily allow https default, but we can continue that discussion on the other ticket.
