hotkey for switching between visual and text view

Description

Hello,

imho it would be massively usefull

to have a hotkey that let's users

switch between visual (rendered html)

and text (source code) view

with a touch of - two - buttons

would be great :)

Hi @canoodle2 and thanks for making the suggestion!

When the "Classic" editor was the default editor, a keyboard shortcut was already discussed on #30407. If you like, you could add a comment on that ticket.

I've seen some unintended markup created by switching between the two tabs, so I'll repeat the caution expressed about switching editors often.

If you're comfortable with using the Block editor, though, that has a shortcut to switch between the Visual and Code editing modes:
Ctrl (or Cmd) + Shift + Alt + M
