Version 5.6.1 font size not working

Description

Since my WordPress site has been updated to version 5.6.1 the font size can no longer be changed. The block editor’s font size box shows all of the dropdown font sizes but will not change from default. All of the posts on my blog up to now have been in ‘large’ font. It is a major problem for me to suddenly post in a much smaller font. It ruins the look of my blog.
I have found a workaround but it takes longer than simply clicking the font size box. Looks like a bug. Can it be fixed?
