Latest WordPress Version 5.7.2 Breaks My Website, Help!

Hello, updating to 5.7.2 has broken my website. Now photos don't show within the articles (except within a photo gallery from a plugin) plus the cover photos only show when my mouse hovers over the photo, whether as a preview on the homepage, or with in the article itself. It's like all the photos are missing and make my website look terrible.

When I go back to the last version of wordpress, this issue goes away, except other issues are created which seem to be related to jetpack not working properly because it's no longer on the latest version of wordpress.

How do we get this issue fixed ASAP? Is there another update coming in the next day that will have this fixed? Please help!

@openearsmike Hi and welcome to Trac!

Please note that for future site help, use the support forums.

Someone else had trouble with the same version of the SmartMag theme with more recent WordPress. Since then, the reporter has updated to a more recent version of that theme.

If you simply cannot update the theme, you could go to Customize and add this line of CSS to the Additional CSS section for a temporary fix:

  .no-display { opacity: 1; }

I'll close this ticket because it is not a core bug.
