Description

I'm using IE7 and WP 2.3.1. To reproduce this bug (it's my first one i hope i'm doing right) log-in as an author, go to write -> Article, input some test content, choose a category and the "post pending" radiobutton. I'm sorry I use it in Italian and don't know the exact translation, I include a screenshot it should be clear.

Then I click "Save" and close the browser window. Every sign of the saved post is then lost, i can't find it nowhere, neiher as admin nor as the normal user who wrote it, not on the top of write page (the review article shortcut) neither on the article manager page.

Well, I guess this has something to do with http://trac.wordpress.org/ticket/5329

ENV: WP trunk r6334

Works for me. I can't duplicate this problem.

It isn't expected for a article pending review to be at the top of the write page, , because that only currently lists drafts, but logged in as the Author (or the Admin) I do find it when I filter Status... Pending Review

  • Milestone changed from 2.5 to 2.4
  • Type changed from defect to enhancement

Yes' you're right.
Anyway, in my humble opinion pending reviews should be more visible to admin/editors, because he/she could not see new articles for a long time since there aren't notifications about newly inserted contents. As for comments moderation, I think there should be a tab under "Manage" section (Manage pending articles or something like that)

  • Milestone 2.4 deleted
  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Closing then as invalid, b/c the current described issue is quite different from the original problem that sounded like data loss. The dashboard experience is in the process of being worked on, so if you are still seeing the issue after 2.4 is released please do open a ticket.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
