New WordPress 5.8 Tatum Has Featured Image Problem In Classic Mode

Greetings,
I prefer to use Classic mode and so experience a problem where when my video-thumbnail posts, which are normally converted to featured image, are not, and I go to reset the image, the ENTIRE FIELD OF IMAGES IS WHITE SPACE BLANK.
Moreover, the problem happens occasionally when I am in "block mode" as well. I am using Total Cache and a standard but extensive set of plugins I have used through the last five versions of WordPress, and without this problem.

Unfortunately, support for individual websites isn't available here in Trac, but you'll be able to get help with the issue in the WordPress support forums.
If you're still able to observe the behavior with all plugins disabled and a using a default theme, please feel free to reopen this ticket with steps that can be used to replicate it.
