Description
HI,
I really need help with this, I am getting a script error when I try to write new post. The system hangs just before the formatting toolbar is loaded and then I get the error. No details on it..this pic shows what i get. www.digitalsole.info/scripterror.JPG
This causes Firefox to hang until I stop script and in IE7 it goes not responding and crashes. This only happens when using Write Post..not editing or managing..just new post. I was using 2.2 and upgraded to 2.3.1 but this has not helped. I have tried several themes including the default and nothing seems to help the issue. I also have deactivated all plugins and reactivagted one by one but it makes no difference.
This is causing me a lot of problems and any help would be appreciated.

Tried all of that. Have installed on a sub directory of the site and it works fine.
Have replaced all the files..and cleared cache..everything. my head is wrecked from this. Have searched all forums and cant find anyone with same issue or any hints to resolve. Totally baffled at this stage. Have tried on other machines..upgraded etc and nothing works. Editing pages/post etc all works fine..just not write new post.

right so I took a back up of my database and deleted the original again. Then installed WP2.3.1 and all ok until I import the backup into the new database..then it comes back..
this would lead me to believe that it is a database error..not WP.
I have no idea how to resolve this problem. It is only with writing new pages/posts and only happens when the databse is imported
I'm sure we would have heard about this earlier if it was a widespread issue.
Try...
and see if that fixes it.
