I have just spent my morning cleaning up over 400,000 unused image sizes taking up over 14Gb of disk space on my site. This comes from both WordPress & WooCommerce not cleaning up after thumbnail sizes have been changed in the past. I am luckily an advanced user and able to do this via the command line but I really feel for the average user who is paying a premium for hosting to host a plethora of images that are old and never used. WordPress & Woocommerce really need to look at cleaning up after themselves.
