Term permalink accessible with or without taxonomy in URL when /%category%/%postname% in settings

I'm using "/%category%/%postname%" as custom permalink for posts.

With this setting term URL is accessible with or without taxonomy in URL, for example :

​https://www.website.com/category/cars >> OK

​https://www.website.com/cars >> OK also and that is the problem it should be a 404
