WordPress Embed Doesn't Work on Mobile

Description

Hi,

For our news website (https://www.upinthesky.nl), we often link to an older article using the WordPress Embed block. For an example, please view: https://www.upinthesky.nl/2022/03/08/kaag-klm-gaat-zelf-over-bedrijfsmodel/.

The embed is a great way to feature another article, however there is currently a problem with the block. On desktop/laptop it works fine. However, on mobile devices, it is not possible to click on it (the link within the header doesn't work) and thus there's no way to actually go to the article. Could this please be fixed asap, as it currently affects all of our news articles that have such an embed in it?

Thank you very much in advance!

Kind regards,
Sytse Sijbesma

Hi @upintheskynl, welcome to Trac!

I saw the issue on your website using Chrome on Android, but I was unable to reproduce this issue on a new installation of WordPress 5.9.2.

This may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. You can get some help with this issue from the folks over on the support forums.

If, after speaking to the folks on the support forums, it's determined to be a bug in WordPress, this should be reported on the Gutenberg repository, which handles block-related issues.

I'll close ticket as this may be due to a plugin or theme conflict. This is therefore likely a support issue, whereas Trac is for the development of WordPress Core.

Best of luck!

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
