Description

I get a MySQL error whenever I upgrade to PHP 7.0 or greater. I have to stay on PHP 5.6 otherwise my website littlestarspreschools.com is not visible.
Please let me know what specifically is stopping the site from being upgraded to a securely safe PHP version of 7.0 or greater.

Thanks

Hello

Welcome aboard... That issue is not connected to WordPress core files, it must be some plugin or any other addon type 3-rd party app which does not allow you to upgrade PHP version. Good idea would be to post your server error log here, so that we can review it and check for more details.

Have a nice day

Hi @lstars1010, welcome to Trac!

Can you post the MySQL error that you receive so that we can determine whether this is a WordPress Core issue or a support issue?

Thanks!

@lstars1010 Can you let us know what happens when you switch to PHP7? Does it display an error page, are any error logs recorded, and do you have the MySQLi extension enabled when you switch to PHP 7?

I'm going to close this out due to lack of additional feedback.

@lstars1010 if you're still experiencing this issue and can provide any additional information requested above to help reproduce the problem, please feel free to reopen the ticket.

You'll notice the resolution is invalid, but not because anyone feels that your issue is unimportant. It's just the default, catch-all resolution in this Trac instance.
