#55986 closed defect (bug) (worksforme)

there's a tag limitation when using a screen reader on the websight

Description

When I try to add more than two tags to a post, the option to add tags goes away. I'm not sure if it's actually off the screen, but I'm assuming it is, even though the catigories option and other features that show up under the suggestions section don't seem to vanish. I was expecting there to be some kind of "done" button or some way of manually exiting the add tags part without it just assuming I'm done after adding two tags. I'm using the websight with what I'm assuming are the default themes and plug-ins.

Hi, @voicesofdepth! A bit more information would be very helpful.

  • What screen reader/browser combination are you using?
  • Can you verify that this is a plain installation with only a default theme installed?
  • Is this using the block editor, or the classic editor?

I've tested this with NVDA/Chrome, NVDA/Edge, JAWS/Chrome, JAWS/Edge, and VoiceOver/iOS; @sabernhardt tested in NVDA/Firefox. We didn't encounter any problems in those tests.

We did miss testing in JAWS/Firefox & VoiceOver/Mac, but based on the lack of feedback, consistent test results across most interfaces, and lack of other reports of this problem, we're closing this.

If you can provide more detailed information about what's not working, please feel free to reopen.
