Description

Hello people of wordpress,

I hope you can help me, for every picture gallery on my site the "<" symbol now appears above it. It appears to be a text tag.

I suppose it is a wordpress bug, because its a default picture gallery

Thanks for the help.

Hi and thanks for the report!

I was able to reproduce the problem with both the "Gallery" and "Tile Gallery" blocks in my WordPress.com test site, but not in a WordPress.org site installation. It seems they manipulate the markup somehow (probably not either the Gutenberg or Jetpack plugin).

Could you contact WordPress.com support?

They must have fixed it. I do not find the extra < character in your site's gallery blocks nor in my WordPress.com test site anymore.
