Description

Hello,
I've made an update to my wordpress blog to version 2.3.1 during the weekends, and what happened now is that if I simply keyed in www1.anyizhu.com (I have removed the virtual host), which was pointing to /www/wordpress (/www is my root directory), it will then load then insists on going back to www.anyizhu.com, which I have to redirect the main page to ensure that it finally goes to www.anyizhu.com/wordpress (therefore causing a dead loop), I've had my ISP to check and was told that the virtual server configuration were fine, I have tried to deactivate all plugins and the results were the same. This problem has not occurred with the previous versions of wordpress though.
Hope you guys could do something about it, thanks!

  • Milestone 2.3.3 deleted
  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

Its a "Feature" (I say that because it is, but some people dont like it)

Enter your admin pages, anc check the Blog URL and SiteURL are set correctly(ie. to the domain you want it to be redirected to).

See: http://markjaquith.wordpress.com/2007/09/25/wordpress-23-canonical-urls/[[BR]]
That also mentions this plugin: http://txfx.net/files/wordpress/disable-canonical-redirects.phps Which removed the functionality.
