Webmaster notes for plugins

Description

On the plugin page in the dashboard it would be most helpful if you could leave notes against each plugin. These could indicate why the plugin was installed and what it is used for, what page it is used on that type of thing. When you have many websites its very easy to forget why and perhaps how, you used a plugin. We currently keep these records seperate from the website and it would be so helpful if you could just include these notes on this page.

Hi @majordoit thank you for the ticket...and welcome to Trac.

While the functionality you are asking for could be useful in some circumstances, it doesn't really make the 80/20 cut (i.e., is probably not useful for the vast majority of site admins).

There are several plugins in the WordPress Plugin Directory that add this functionality.

Therefore, I'm going to close this ticket.

Hi and welcome!

On #46353, a plugin notes column seemed better to leave as plugin territory. I have used Plugin Notes Plus, which is still kept up-to-date.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
