Default location for plugins configuration

Description

I've noticed alot of the plugins have configuration menus, and they all seem to be randomly dotted around the administration panel. You end up having to wander around all the menus untill you can find whete a plugin dumped it's config

I suggest that you have something like a "Plugins config" tab, or maybe a Plugins Config sub tab inside the Plugins tab, or something similar. Some default place where all plugins dump the configs. I obviously am not suggesting that you force all existing plugins to be changed, that would be crazy. Just that the functionality be added, so that all future plugins would be in there, and in the end make life easier.

DD32: my 2c would be, dont bother. Plugin authors need to choose where to put the menu's correctly, Currently the "options" menu(now settings) is a generic location for options/settings, thats where i expect the options to be. Theres exceptions for plugins that have "Design" menu's or come under the write menu and whatnot, Some authors just choose illogical places for their menu's, and that'll still continue to happen if a change was made.

  • Milestone 2.6 deleted
  • Resolution set to invalid
  • Status changed from new to closed

The API allows for flexibility, there should be recommendations, but it is up to the coder of the plugin to decide logically.
