    99That might point to a bigger communication gap, which in turn might have led to this problematic version update. (I believe the outcome of the security fix wasn't very hard to predict. "Killing" shortcodes like this feels a bit out of touch)

    11 I've been using WordPress for years, and that is the first time I dive deep into how the discussion is made. To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. Considering the fact that it is an open-source project, the discussion doesn't feel very open. (Slack felt to me sort of inclusive)

    1313I'm not sure who's who here (and that might be part of the problem), and what your rule is in the community, if you have one. But if you do, maybe you can suggest to the people in charge to work on simplifying and improving the communication with the users' community.
